To celebrate Kuwait National Day, Malvern House Brighton threw a party for our Kuwaiti students to mark the occasion.

It was an opportunity for Kuwaiti students to showcase their country and culture to their fellow students at the school. They cooked and brought in traditional Kuwaiti food, and everyone was treated to ‘Kapsa’ (eaten the proper way, with your hands), Arabic coffee and dates. We also had a spectacular cake, gifted by a Saudi student for his Kuwaiti peers.
We listened to Kuwaiti music, and even tried some traditional dancing! Spurred on by the music, the South American students were inspired and so the party ended by them teaching everyone to do the Macarena. It was a truly international celebration!
